I don’t know about you all, but Sundays are a great day for making desserts. I think it’s a nice way to end a lovey Sunday dinner. I’ll be making these tonight as the first dessert in our new kitchen and I can’t wait to enjoy them. They are a family fave and have been enjoyed for years. I’m a big fan of easy recipes that are able to use most of what you have on hand. That’s what you’ll find here except for perhaps the toffee chips. I hope you give these a try as I know your family will love them as much as we do!
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 inch square baking pan and set aside.
In medium bowl, stir together the butter sugar and vanilla. Add the eggs and with a spoon beat well. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to the egg mixture beating together until well blended. Stir in the toffee chips.
Spread the batter evenly into the baking pan and bake 20-25 mins (NOTE) half way through baking sprinkle more toffee chips and the course sea salt flakes on top
