Hi loves, Who is up for a party…a virtual party that is. Sooo excited that I get to reveal one of the most charming project so far this year that I’ve done with The Home Depot. When I found out I was going to be making a seasonal character door hanger, I was so happy because Christmas is my favorite time of year and this darling snowman will easily fit into my upcoming holiday decor ideas. All of us bloggers participating, were given an inspiration photo to go by (the one right above). We could customize our character and make it our own in any way we wanted.
I headed to Home Depot and was quite delighted to find they had all the chalk paint colors I needed for his hat and body (the white and gray in the American Decor line) as well as acrylic paint to paint on his eyes, carrot nose and smile. I wasn’t sure of everything I was going to do to my little rustic snowman. Well, after I finished putting him together, I decided I would make a small modification to his hat with a piece of reclaimed barn wood to add a small rustic feel to him. Voila. He was all done. I’m super happy with how he came out!
So if you want to have the cutest little snowman in your neighborhood hanging on your front door, then you have to make this project…it’s so easy and quick and super fun.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, Home Depot never fails when it comes to inspiring us DIYers. They have workshops at all of their locations for you do-it-yourselfers out there and they are all FREE!!! You can visit www.workshops.homedepot.com to learn more.
You can attend your local Home Depot’s workshop and make your very own snow man or other seasonal character door hanger, like a santa for example, after this virtual party. It’s a fun time to grab some girlfriends and make it a girls night out!
