Hi loves, growing up in New England, Boston has always had a very special place in my heart. Especially seeing that a few of my sisters attended Boston College, my daughter wanted to go to Northeastern University (she went to UCONN instead) but my nephew is there now and Scott and I love going there for quick little staycations.
I’m always sharing my travel destinations on Instagram and sometimes on my blog. Since many of you turn to me as a resource on where to stay, what to do and where to eat when you travel, I will now be giving more prominent space, organization and attention to this niche that both you and I love so much right here on the blog.
First up is my recent trip to Boston. Plan on visiting this historic and quaint city located along the Boston Harbor? Well I’m sharing options for where to sleep, eat and what to see if you have only 24 hours to visit the city.

No car? No problem.
The Fairmont Copley Plaza is the ideal place to hang your coat for the night. Centrally located in Boston’s historic Back Bay, this iconic and elegant hotel is devoted to providing personalized services to its guests. The hotel has an upscale restaurant with an impressive wine selection, that serves up tantalizing craft cocktails and creative American cuisine. I felt very welcomed and the staff even went above and beyond to help me do a little treasure hunting for a place I just had to see while I was there. Talk about making your guests happy.
For a little extra pampering, guest can book Fairmont Gold which offers complimentary breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, complimentary wi-fi and more. p.s. they are pet friendly and don’t be surprised if their resident pooches come up and say hello when you are checking in.
The well appointed bedrooms boasts beautiful views of Copley Plaza, signature Fairmont mattresses to ensure a good nights sleep as well as bathrooms that are lux, roomy and have toiletries that leave you feeling like you are at home. I found the rooms to be very clean and I love the modern glam feel of not only the hotel but the hotel accomoadations.
The hotel is also breathtakingly opulent and luxurious and is the ideal location for a wedding within the city.
Anything you want, is in reach at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. All you have to do is ask.

EAT:
For breakfast and lunch you can’t go wrong with a visit to Tatte Bakery + Cafe. Just a few blocks away from Fairmont Copley Plaza, you will be delighted to grab breakfast and enjoy mouth watering fresh baked goods, both hot and cold craft coffee drinks as well as good eats combining fresh flavors of carefully sourced raw ingredients that make for a burst of flavors and textures in every bite you eat. There are 6 locations throughout Boston but the one located closets to Fairmont Coplye Plaza is on Boylston Street. Breakfast is served daily until 11:30 and a must try dish is the Shakshuka. I love it with the lamb meatball and labneh.
For dinner, why not grab a taste of the south and head on over to Southern Proper. There you will find a chef owned restaurant serving up dishes rooted in North Carolina. From the fried chicken (don’t get the hot option if you can’t handle the heat, because it’s hot) to the fried green tomatoes this is a must try restaurant to kick back with some craft cocktails, some local brews and good company. If you are a cocktail connoisseur like I am, then ask about the Myatt’s Mistake.
SEE:
OK you only have 24 hours so you really won’t be able to take in all that Boston has to offer, but what you will be able to to do is take a stroll not to far from the Fairmont Copley Plaza right over to the Boston Public Library. I know you are thinking….what? a library? If you are into architectural wonderment and history or just want to take some quiet time to be with yourself in your head, then this is a must see. It’s beautiful, serene and like an escape all in one. p.s. they have a coffee shop inside.
About 7 minutes away, seek out the famous Acorn Street. When looking for it, don’t blink or you will miss it. It’s so quintessential and tiny, much like an ally but it’s the perfect spot to soak in some history and land an Instagram worthy photo.
Also, just walk around and take in the beauty and history that is Boston. There are so many lovely homes, parks and areas to just relax and unwind.
If shopping is your thing, you will have no shortage of places to do that. You are just a few minutes away from not only Copley Place Mall where you will find Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Neiman Marcus and Christian Dior just to name a few, but you are also just blocks away from places like Nordstrom Rack and the famous Newburry Street area which is filled with boutiques and high end stores as well as places to eat and be pampered if stopping for a facial is on your list.
There is no shortage of places to Sleep. Eat and See in Boston but I’m hoping this 24 Hour Travel Guide is helpful for those of you that will be visiting this neck of New England.
