Happy Monday loves, if you follow me on Instagram then you know I’ve totally gone back to my roots growing up (many Jamaican homes have plants in them) and have started incorporating plants back into my life. To be honest, I didn’t know just how much I missed living amongst the “life/vibe” that plants can bring into a space.
One day I just woke up, I got a plant and let’s just say the rest is history. While seeing how the plants added color into my home, I decided to mix up my home décor to be styled in a more eclectic/boho way. I’ve always talked about the use of incorporating texture into your décor so the texture/layering details of the eclectic/boho style isn’t new for me, but going from a totally neutral palette of grays, creams/whites, tans/beige and black are.
Decorating in an eclectic/boho style simply means a mixture of textures, time periods, styles, trends, and colors into one cohesive space. To be honest I already had a bit of that going on in my home, so this style really resonates with how I live and what I love.
I must admit, as I’ve been seeing more color around my home, it has really brightened my mood. I forgot what it was to live outside of a neutral world. I have to say it’s pretty awesome and I’m looking forward to sharing with you more ways I’ve started incorporating color and eclectic/boho styling into my home.
