Well hello…it’s been a bit since we blogged, but there is so much going on right now, we can’t even begin to tell you. Hopefully you follow us on instagram @therusticlife as that’s our daily mini blog of lovely inspiration, thoughts and ideas. Winter is a lovely time for enjoying hot chocolate and with many parties and/or family and friends around, setting up a simple hot chocolate bar doesn’t have to be complicated. We are BIG on using what you have around your home and today we are going to share how we turned our 3 tiered wood stand from The Painted Fox into a simple hot chocolate bar.
On the bottom shelf we put a mini chalkboard we found at World Market and wrote the words on it. We also included on that shelf two quilted mason jars. One filled with chocolate peppermint pieces and the other with Starbucks cocoa powder. The mini chalkboard picks came from Hobby Lobby and we just wrote the titles on them with the chalk. Sine there was more room, we put our mason jar mugs on the bottom shelf. These we already had from Potterybarn.
On the second shelf we put some Pepperidge Farm cookies out in a small white dish that would fit the space.

How cute are these marshmallow & gummy skewers!?? We simply put mini marshmallows onto bamboo skewers and topped them off with gummy Christmas tree candies. They were pretty yummy!
The napkins we found at our local supermarket. We thought they were pretty darn funny and had to get them.
So there you have it, an easy and quick way to put together a hot cocoa bar. Happy Holidays!
