Hi loves, Summer officially starts tomorrow so I thought it was about time that I share with you all my top Summer beauty picks. Having experience as a Makeup Artist and Esthetician for 12 years, I’m always on top of what’s hot and what’s not. What works and what doesn’t. The products I’m sharing are ones I really love and are ideal for wearing in the warmer Summer weather when our skin tends to be on the oilier side.
OK, I don’t know about you, but in the Summer the last thing I want to feel is that I have thick heavy foundation on my skin. Well here comes NARS to the rescue. I stumbled upon this new fav literally just a few weeks ago when I was going to repurchase my current Makeup Forever foundation. I decided to look around and I came across this gem. I found the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint and fell in love. The word matte had me at hello. This foundation does not disappoint. It wears beautifully and melts nicely into the skin and does not feel heavy at all. It’s the perfect warm weather foundation and has SPF 3o so it even helps to prevent sun damage. It comes in a variety of colors to suite a range of complexions. I would say the coverage is medium and can be built to a fuller coverage look with a powder. The color I use is Polynesia.
Well if you follow me on Instagram you know that I started a skin care and life goods line RL Apothecary, out of a need to combat my dry skin from my hypothyroidism. Boy my skin sure has improved alot since using my products which are natural, botanical and organic based and not filled with chemcials that can irritate the skin. I’m adding the Green Tea Toning Mist from the line because it helps to fight aging and free radicals which damage the skin at a cellular level. I’m also including the top selling Rose Clay Mask. A clay mask will be your skin’s BFF in the Summer because it will help to draw out excess oils and impurities. The AWESOME thing about this Rose Mask too, however, is that it helps to brighten the skin with Tumeric. Like who doesn’t want to brighten those sun spots and botchy skin?
Coco Mademoiselle perfume is one of my summer favorites and has been for a few years. With pretty notes of rose, jasmine and orange, this is one sexy scent you will surely want to add to your perfume collection. I always get compliments when I wear it.
YSL has been a favorite makeup brand for me for my entire career as a Makeup Artist because of the quality of their products. I shared and demonstrated the Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Touché Eclat Blur Perfector a few weeks back on my Instatory and many of you saw why I love this so much! It instantly takes away that shiny look to the skin without having to pack on powder to do the job. Literally it’s been a life saver for me when a selfie is just part of the moment. Also, part of my Summer picks, is my favorite YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick. The color is 70 and works for both day and night looks and can be worn at the beach, a summer picnic or night out under the stars. A classic rose color good for any complecixon.
Two picks for the Summer I’m loving are from Milani. I’ve been really getting into matte lipsticks lately and the Amore Matte Lip Creme in the color Adorable from Milani is AWESOME. It really is that perfect nude color that works anytime of day and it’s even more fab because it smells like delicious vanilla 🙂 Yum. If you are a girl like me that likes to rock a matte lipstick from time to time, this is a must have. A blush from Milani I’ve been obsessed with for a few years now is the blush color 05 Coral Cove. Literally obsessed at how long it lasts and how this color looks great on anyone. The coral color is really soft and pretty and looks like you just blushed from the most uncomfortable joke ever told LOL. On the serious side, I love it as much as Nars Orgasm and that is saying something 🙂
Well that’s a wrap loves, I hope you take a chance and make some of these a part of your Summer beauty routine. Your skin and complexion will thank you for it 🙂 In this photo, I’m wearing all the products mention in this post except the blush (I just didn’t have time to put it on) 🙂
